Student Achievement Guided by Alumni (SAGA) Institute
By Melinda Rose
The Student Achievement Guided by Alumni (SAGA) Institute provides professional and career development training for highly-motivated students from low-income and diverse backgrounds over the course of the academic year. Through alumni mentoring, one-on-one advising, and peer support at workshops and activities, SAGA Institute students will build their resumes with real world training. Students selected to participate in the program are eligible to apply for SAGA summer internships and other career development opportunities in various fields. Corporate sponsored internships are 10-week full-time summer positions with a $4,000 scholarship award for 2010-2011.
