The AWIS Scholarship Program

The San Diego Chapter of the Association for Women in Science (AWIS) offers scholarships to community college, undergraduate, and graduate women in San Diego County who are in pursuit of a degree in science, technology, engineering and mathematics. Each recipient receives a $1000 scholarship award.
The Google Anita Borg Memorial Scholarship: USA

Google Anita Borg Scholarship recipients will each receive a $10,000 award for the 2011-2012 academic year. A group of female undergraduate and graduate students will be chosen from the applicant pool, and scholarships will be awarded based on the strength of each candidate's academic background and demonstrated leadership. All scholarship recipients and finalists will be invited to attend the Annual Google Scholars' Retreat in Mountain View, California in 2011.
UMBC Minority Postdoctoral Fellows Program 2011-2012

The University of Maryland Baltimore County invites nominations and applications for the UMBC Minority Postdoctoral Fellows. UMBC is dedicated to ensuring a diverse, scholarly environment and encouraging outstanding individuals to enter the academic profession. The purpose of the Program is to increase the pool of scholars from underrepresented minority groups for possible tenure-track appointments at UMBC.

2011 Google Anita Borg Memorial Scholarship

Dr. Anita Borg (1949-2003) devoted her life to revolutionizing the way we think about technology and dismantling the barriers that keep women and minorities from entering the computing and technology fields. In honor of Anita's vision, Google is proud to announce the 2011 Google Anita Borg Memorial Scholarship, awarding a group of female students each a $10,000 scholarship for the 2011-2012 academic year.
