Our Team

The Engineering Student Services office (ESS) encourages the academic, personal, and professional success of Jacobs School students. Our focus on co-curricular activities ranges from supporting student leadership, learning, and professional development, as well as student organizations and special events. ESS is a vital part of the Jacobs School's Dean's Office and serves as the primary liaison between students and the School administration.

ESS is responsible for prospective undergraduate student recruitment and the pre-college California State Summer School for Mathematics and Science (COSMOS) program at UC San Diego. In addition, the academic service-learning program known as TIES (Teams in Engineering Service) is located in the ESS Office.
