Andrew A. Chien
Professor, Computer Science and Engineering
Professor Chien's research focuses on "grid" computing and cuts across a broad range of system layers. It includes both hardware and software architecture issues in large-scale parallel and distributed computer systems such as scalable servers, and clusters and workgroups of workstations High performance computing and networking architecture, including grid, parallel and distributed computing, as well as operating systems, compilers and runtimes, object-oriented languages, and scalable clusters.
