Sujit Dey Professor, Electrical & Computer Engineering 
Adaptive Wireless Multimedia, Sensor Networks, Hardware-Software Embedded Systems, Nano-meter System-on-Chip Design and Test.
Professor Dey heads the Mobile Systems Design and Test Laboratory, which is engaged in developing adaptive wireless protocols and algorithms, and deep submicron adaptive system-on-chips, for next-generation wireless networks and appliances.
Capsule Bio: Sujit Dey is affiliated with the California Institute of Telecommunications and Information Technology (Cal-IT2), and the UCSD Center for Wireless Communications. In 1994, he founded Ortiva Wireless, a company with products and services for delivering mobile multimedia. He served as the Chair of the Advisory Board of Zyray Wireless until its acquisition by Broadcom in 2004. He has also served as an advisor to ST Microelectronics. Prior to joining UCSD in 1997, Dr. Dey was a Senior Research Staff Member at the NEC C & C Research laboratories, Princeton, NJ. He received a Ph.D. Degree in Computer Science from Duke University, Durham, NC in 1991. Dr. Dey has co-authored more than 150 publications, including journal and conference papers, a book on low-power design and several book chapters. He has received 6 Best Paper awards at international conferences. His research has resulted in multiple technology licensing, and he is the co-inventor of 12 US patents, with an additional 8 pending. He has been a General Chair, Program Chair and member of organizing and program committees of several IEEE conferences and workshops.
