Board Member Biography: David Jankowski Ph.D.

David is a Staff Development Manager within Intuits Small Business Engineering Platform group in San Diego, CA. His group of engineers are collectively responsible for quality assurance efforts for many of the key components of Intuits connected services strategy, especially around platforms and software as a service. Prior to joining Intuit four years ago, David was the Director of Application Quality Services at Gateway, where he had enterprise-wide responsibility for all quality functions, including testing, quality assurance, software configuration management, software process improvement, and web analytics. While at Gateway he led the testing effort for the worlds largest implementation of the Siebel CRM system.

Prior to returning to the 'professional world' in 1999, David was a tenured professor of management information systems. His research areas included the use of methodology-based tools to support the software development process, as well as the use of such tools to promote software development education. Shortly after the arrival of the Mosaic web browser David became one of the first few professors in the world to make his teaching materials available on the world wide web.

David has a Ph.D. in management information systems from the University of Arizona, and a B.A. in Applied Mathematics from the University of California, San Diego.
