Board Member Biography: David Esbeck

Mr. Esbeck leads a group of worldwide personnel in providing the complete aftermarket customer relationship management including comprehensive suite of service products, superior field service and support systems, technical expertise / risk management, and machinery management technology for long-term customer support. He is also responsible for Solar's Europe, Africa & Middle East geographic regions.
Prior to joining Customer Services in 2000, Mr. Esbeck held various other executive positions during his 21-year career at Solar Turbines including Vice President, Engineering, Vice President, Power Systems, and Managing Director, Pacific & Far East. He has 15 years of various global and managerial experience with General Electric Company prior to joining Solar. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Iowa State University, and is a graduate of the Stanford Executive MBA Program. He is also an active member on the Pacific Life Holiday Bowl Board of Directors. He has served as Chairman and Vice Chair of the UCSD Corporate Affiliates Program, and is on the Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo Engineering Industrial Advisory Council.
