Board Member Biography: Mark Stabb

Mark Stabb President/CEO Quartus Engineering Incorporated

Mark Stabb, Ph.D., P. E., is president and co-founder of Quartus Engineering Incorporated, a San Diego headquartered consulting company specializing in CAD, CAE and testing services for the aerospace, amusement park, optics, bio-medical, industrial and consumer products communities. Mark has held this role for Quartus since 1998, and has helped guide Quartus growth from an initial startup company of four engineers, to a successful and growing company of 70 engineers located in three offices.

Prior to helping found Quartus, Mark worked for Structural Dynamics Research Corporation in San Diego, CA from 1992 to 1997 working on a variety of projects primarily in the aerospace field, and teaching a number of training classes in the use of FEA and Thermal Analysis software. Mark earned a B.S. in Physics and Mathematics, an M.S. and a Ph.D. in Engineering Mechanics from the University of Wisconsin Madison, and he was an NSF Fellow and DOE fellow while in graduate school in Madison.
