How much is the tuition?
Tuition at all COSMOS sites for 2013 is $2,950 for California residents. This comprehensive fee covers room and meals in the residence halls as well as transportation costs and expenses for field trips. Non-California residents pay the full tuition cost of $6,000 as required by the state legislature. There is a $30 non-refundable application fee. International students also pay $6000 and must submit official TOEFL scores or equivalent and pass the minimum required, which is 550 for TOEFL written test, 80 for TOEFL online test, or Band Score of 7 for IELTS. Official scores must be submitted with the $30 application fee.
What does the tuition cover?
Tuition covers room and meals in the university residence halls, all course and lab materials, and all academic field trips. Nearly everything you will need while you are at COSMOS is covered. Students can bring spending money for the weekend field trips or to shop at the campus bookstore.

Fee waivers are available for California residents demonstrating financial need. No qualified student will be denied admission for lack of financial resources. Last summer, approximately 35% of the students who attended the program received full financial aid. The financial aid form can be found on the COSMOS application website.
