Instructors

Clark Guest joined the UCSD faculty in 1984. At the Jacobs School he runs the Optical Data Processing and Communications Group. He is undergraduate faculty mentor for the Continuous Observation & Remote sensing AUAV eXperiment, or CORAX, a CalSpace project aimed at enabling students to conduct low-cost space research. He is also involved in planning of the Autonomous Model Yacht Race. AMYR is a competitive race to Tahiti and back for self-guided, self propelled model yachts. He received his Ph.D. from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 1983.

Maziar Nezhad received his B.S. and M.S. in Electrical Engineering and Electronics at Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, Iran and an M.S. in Electrical Engineering and Communications Systems/Optics at the University of Alabama in Huntsville. His research interests include subwavelength optics, polarization control, metal optics, opto-electronics.
