COSMOS students enroll in one of seven academic core content courses called "clusters" for the duration of the four- week program. There are 18-25 students per cluster who take two topical science and/or math courses and one Scientific Communication course. Each course is designed and instructed by UC San Diego faculty, lecturers, researchers and graduate students. During the four-week program, COSMOS students research and prepare a final project which is presented at the end of the COSMOS program as well as to an audience in their home communities.
