Date Submitted: 05/02/2008 On Saturday, April 26th, Daren's granddaughter, Elizabeth Belle Gainey, was born. He just completed teaching his first course at Indiana Institute of Technology. Later, this August, he will begin studies in pursuit of an MBA from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University through the online program, Kelley Direct. |

The award was presented at the National Engineering Week Banquet on February 22nd, 2008. |

Date Submitted: 02/20/2008 Mr. Faria was recently promoted to the role of Structural Technology Practice Leader for the Government Facilities - Architectural and Engineering division of CH2M HILL in Dallas, TX. His responsibilities include developing and implementing structural engineering best practices and technology initiatives for the corporation. He also serves as the lead structural engineer for federal government facilities located around the world that are designed for anti-terrorism force protection and progressive collapse mitigation. |

He is happily married and has two sons, Alex and Zac, who are three and one, respectively. |

Date Submitted: 10/19/2008 After graduating from UCSD in ’94, Stanley Peng earned his MSEE from USC in Dec. '97. Currently, he works with a high-tech company managing design projects in next generation ASICs for internet products. An avid athlete, Stanley has finished several marathons and triathlons over the past few years and works as a PSIA skiing instructor during winter. "It's not about getting a degree and getting a job, but doing things that get some degrees out of yourself." He enjoys long-trip driving and eventually will drive an RV around America. |

Date Submitted: 10/28/2008 Sunil returned to the San Francisco Bay Area last February, and started working for Abbott Laboratories as a Senior R&D Manager in the New Product Development Department in Abbott's Diagnostics Division. His family spent 10 relaxing days in Kauai to round out an otherwise busy summer. His 4 year old daughter Naia and 1 year old son Milan got to see sea turtles and monk seals come up to them right on the beach! |

Date Submitted: 09/24/2008 With his wife Kathryn (UCSD Class of 1994), they have a daughter, Megan (5) and son, Kevin (3). Megan has recently started kindergarten and has joined the "Black Belt Club" for her Tae Kwon Do hobby. Kevin has started soccer and loves his preschool. Eric continues his work with Daylight Solutions, focused on molecular detection and imaging. Daylight is commercializing technology that will someday be able to provide non-invasive glucose monitoring solutions to the world's diabetics as well as diagnosis of disease through breath analysis. |
