Graduate Students

The UCSD Jacobs School of Engineering actively recruits and admits qualified domestic and international students for our Master of Science (M.S.), Master of Advanced Study (M.A.S), Master of Engineering (M.Eng.), and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) graduate programs. M.D./M.S. and M.D./Ph.D. options are also offered through our Bioengineering Department in collaboration with the UCSD School of Medicine.

The graduate admissions process is managed by the UCSD Office of Graduate Studies and Research (OGSR), and you can visit their site to get an online application and review requirements, and to learn more about tuition and fees and financial aid. Most of our Ph.D. students receive continued funding in the form of research assistantships and teaching assistantships. Students are also encouraged to seek financial support through external fellowships.
