Assistant Dean for Administration and Finance: Steve Ross
Steve Ross is responsible for the central budgeting, financial, human resources, facilities, and technical operations of the Dean's Office. Prior to his appointment as assistant dean, he served as the Director of Planning and Budget for the Jacobs School from 1999-July 2002. Ross has been instrumental in guiding and managing the fiscal development of the California Institute for Telecommunications and Information Technology. With an extensive knowledge of campus and UC system-wide affairs, Ross was previously the manager of academic compensation in Academic Personnel, business manager in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, and accounting assistant in UCSD's accounting office. Ross earned an MBA from San Diego State University and a B.A. in Economics from UC Davis.
